Program description Example of indication / Electrode placement
P1: TENS - Childbirth
Place the electrodes in the painful area. Try different electrode placements until the stimulation covers the whole painful area. Use 2 or 4 electrodes depending on the location of the pain and the size of the area you want to cover. If you have pain in the front, you should place one of the electrodes in the groin area, and the other electrode (on the same cord) on the outer part of the hip or on the back. Do not place electrodes directly over the uterus or connect pairs of electrodes across the abdomen. It is important that you change the positions of the electrodes if the painful area moves as the labor progresses.
P2: TENS - Pelvis, Back, Neck, Shoulders
This program will use for the pain happen in pelvis, back, neck or shoulders.During the labor, most of women will find these pains discomfort you during your pregnancy. Now relief yourselves with our effective TENS program, but still other forms of treatment are recommend like physical exercisesPlace the electrodes in the painful area. Always increase the amplitude slowly.and attention not to cause the muscle contractions. The final intensity should be a little bit stronger than the existing pain.
P3: Massage
This program helps you release your tense muscles during your pregnancy and whenever you want for have an effective massage.Place the electrodes in the painful area. To achieve the relative effect, each stimulation session should last at least 30 minutes. You could use these functional programs whenever massage are needed.
P4: Circulation
This program can produce a muscular pumping effect that increases the circulation.Whenever you stand or sit in on position for a long time, you will find it useful. Women of pregnancy will have a tired and swollen legs, use it to relieve and prevent Deep Vain Thrombosis DVT .Place the electrodes according to our picture.
TENS stands for Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, and has successfully been used for many years by pregnant women and professional midwives worldwide to treat labour pain.
At the onset of labour, simply apply the four pads to your back as shown in the accompanying instructions and switch the TENS unit on. You will feel a pleasant pulsing sensation. This will help to raise the level of your own pain relieving chemicals known as endorphins. The longer you use the machine the more endorphins your body naturally releases and helps with the discomfort - it is that simple!

Yes. They are designed for labour. However, do not use before the 37th week of pregnancy unless under medical supervision. If you suffer from epilepsy or have any doubts whatsoever consult a medical professional. If you use a demand type pace maker you should not use a TENS machine. If you are unsure about using a TENS machine, please contact NHS direct, your doctor or midwife for general advice.
